b -> s neutrino-antineutrino transitions
Flavour-changing neutral current (FCNC) processes, like b→s transitions, are rare in the Standard Model, occurring only at higher-order levels. This makes them a key focus for exploring new physics.
Decays such as 𝐵+→𝐾+𝜈𝜈, involving neutrinos in the final state, are particularly interesting due to their precise theoretical predictions, despite being challenging to detect. Our group addresses these challenges using advanced machine learning techniques.
Using Belle II Run I data, we achieved the first evidence of
𝐵+→𝐾+𝜈𝜈 and are now working to improve precision and study related decay modes.
